I would put it 100% on the Gov and Mayor. Let them fail and fail hard. Then go in in the rescue

The stick will raise the temperature in the short term. But long term need consequences for actions

Or that sparks more protests/riots across the nation that the feds cannot handle because they don't have the resources.

The waving of Mexican flags is what will help win this for Trump.

People voted for this and have weak stomachs for violence.

But when CNN shows a seniorita barreling a motorcycle though a police line, you are winning

Once the gloves come off they will be handled easy.

Just look at the Houthis. Liberals had our navy sit like ducks while the Houthis took pot shots (I.e LEO and rioters), Trump took the gloves off and Houthis stopped firing at us.

People respect strength

Nothing will happen. As usual. This will blow over and be forgotten in a few weeks. Voted for Trump but somewhat disappointed in many areas.

They need to start arresting these insurrectionists. Don't let them by with this. Throw their arse in jail with federal charges.

What jail?

Homan doesn’t have enough beds for deportations, and it’s not even close.

So, how did Obama do it? That’s right, the States worked WITH him.

Everything we’re seeing is stages TDS on full display.

We have a captured country, and everyone that has had their head buried in the sand for the last 20 years is to blame. It has been a slow burn.

That's why trump collaborating with states is so important, and how the states can hurt these efforts (see: the Glendale thread)

California might actually secede over this.

Then continue to provoke them.

The US without CA politically goes hard right:
WH: GOP +52 electoral votes
House: GOP +43
Senate: GOP +2

Even assuming WA and OR don’t leave with them which they would, the federal government would be the most conservative we’ve ever seen.

At a presidential level it would be the equivalent of the GOP winning
GA (16), PA (19) & MI (15) every year before precincts open. Add in the coming changes due to census update and it would give the GOP the equivalent of WI (10) as well.

So now you’ve wrapped up the WH, shifted 60+ house seats and the senate has a built in 2 seat pickup as well.

The political differences in America are intractable. CA leaving, while requiring the remaining US to scramble to secure a west coast port and at the cost of significant GDP would at least solve much of that issue over night.

Technically, he's already won.

Remember, these illegal aliens were peaceful people who were just coming for a better life and to be model citizens like every other American.

Last I checked the straight is still closed. They just don't mention the Houthis any more.

Trump should just pull everything out of California. No more federal agencies at all in California and no more funding at the federal level. In a month when it's all burning to the ground they will be begging Trump to come save the day.

That's how I feel. FBI should be surveilling everyone and scooping them up at night.

They will do that but it doesn’t address the problem of ICE getting assaulted when they try to enforce the law in LA. Are they supposed to just back off?

You have to play smarter, not harder, in these situations. Sending in a military goon squad is not the way to go.
Why are they the goon squad in this scenario?

If you market the situation exactly how the left would, yeah, it will look worse.
