Here, I find it almost impossible to believe that President Trump isn't lying when he claimed that negotiations had progressed in between Rubio's news briefing on Operation Freedom which ended. about midnight Tehran time and Trump's announcement about 3 a.m. Tehran time. You think Rubio was left out of the loop?

The blockade was not lifted. According to President Trump we are suspecting the humanitarian Project Freedom AT THE REQUEST OF PAKISTAN.
Again, hard to believe any of this. Why would Pakistan not want us to help commercial vessels transit through Omani waters? How would that be an impediment to negotiations with Iran, but the blockade of Iran (an act of war) is not?

I was under the impression that Project Freedom is intended to not escort any “new” ships into the strait, but instead to escort ships out that have been more or less stranded. Perhaps I’m wrong though.
