Trump and David Duke in ’16/’20 vs. DSA Candidates Today

In 2016 and 2020, Democrats including Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and many mainstream media figures aggressively pressed Donald Trump to denounce former KKK leader David Duke after Duke endorsed him. Critics argued that Trump had a responsibility to clearly distance himself from Duke and white supremacist groups. Trump did this, and of course they continue to call Trump a racist and many other things today.
Today, DSA and progressive candidates, including Abdul El-Sayed, have openly said many anti-Semitic, racist, anti-American, and controversial things, as well as aligned themselves with controversial individuals like Hasan Piker, who famously said America deserved 9/11, called for the murder of capitalists, and openly praises terrorist organizations.
The same Democrats and media commentators who demanded Trump answer for David Duke are now minimizing or dismissing controversial rhetoric and associations on the left as irrelevant, out of context, or not reflective of the candidate. Is anyone surprised by this? No. It is what we have known. These people do not really believe Trump or Republicans are racist, or whatever they call them. It is just a fear tactic they throw out. Heck, they do not even care about this. They only care about power and their agenda.
The Democrats and mainstream media have called Republicans racists and Nazis for as long as I can remember. Obama called George W. Bush a racist and yet they get along very well, and George W. Bush and Michelle Obama are always canoodling at events.

One is an aristocratic con-artist businessman from NYC while the other is a a redneck KKK member from the backwoods of Oklahoma who advocates for a white ethnostate

The Dems do whatever they think will get them a win. They'd throw anyone under the bus for some advantage. It's the party of zero principles.

And yet Democrats went crazy when Duke said he endorsed Trump, even though they had no association and Trump had nothing at all to do with him.
Today, the same Democrats are accepting these DSA candidates who cozy up to someone like Piker and openly make anti-Semitic comments and express support for terrorist organizations.
