They can be more precise in how they handle an outbreak rather than killing millions of chickens who may not even be infected.

Our family eats about 5 dozen a week, and at these prices it's still a low cost source of protein. Still cheaper than buying trash cereal for your family breakfast. The prices are not a consequence of this administration.

The biosecurity is the key. Just like covid, they are poisoning the chickens with a bio weapon so they can kill them and create a new pandemic they can use against Trump. He ain't falling for the banana in the tailpipe again.

Exactly!

I believe I read something that said if Chicken farm A has a couple of cases... all chickens are culled. Also cull chicken farms B, C, D... within a certain radius.

Scorched earth makes little sense to me when the virus spreads naturally anyway. As I understand it, scorched earth wasn't always the policy anyway.

I know nothing about poultry farming, this is just my own, little opinion.

My question is, did the Marxist holdovers from the Biden administration declare or have influence over declaring this "bird flu"???
Any reasonable person should consider this.
Also, did the Marxist Biden administration ever talk to the American people about specific issues such as this and how it would help to mitigate for the benefit of the American people?????
Come on..... People that refuse to see the difference in the quality of leadership are fricking stupid.

Just the infected farm is culled. The other farms around it are tested regularly to make sure it hasn't spread.

biosecurity and medication

He's going to find something he wants to implement in this realm that the leftists will have a fit over to make them look opposed to lower egg prices.
He gets something he wants while the loons look like the assholes they are.

Democrats will never understand free market economics so they will never understand things like why the price of eggs are high now.

It will be over soon. Chickens mature within months. Big kill off last year for no reason was the catalyst. Just need a few months to get back to normal.

Not you or me but there are some on fixed incomes who eggs could be a mainstay. They were cheap, but quality protein.

Just trying to see the other side.

We need more Joel Salatin types and less massive eggs farms with tons of chickens in cages inside of buildings . Having egg chickens is not that hard .

A few days ago I saw a fluff/persuasion piece on the dailymail site angling to vaccinate the chickens. My understanding was that they were developing a mrna vaccine. I am absolutely against that crap. It needs to be out of the food system... not for the pigs, cows, or chickens. So sick of this.

Egg prices are high because of a supply shock to the system.

Peel the onion...

WHY was there a supply shock to the system?

WHEN was the intervening event(s)?

Was that series events longer than or more recent than 3 weeks ago?

Eggs go to $6 a dozen, still a cheap source of protein. How many eggs a week do you eat. Give up three cups of coffee a week at Starbucks and get it at McDonalds.

Chicken populations will rebound quickly when the bird flu runs its course.

I bought eggs for either $2.99 or $3.99 a dozen yesterday. It was Eggland’s best brown eggs.
