You know what, I’m going to take the unpopular and politically incorrect position here and say “good!”.
I’m sorry but you can not convince me that homosexuality is not a choice and if you choose to be gay, then great. But pick a side and live it! You can’t have it both ways!
In nature, you have plants that pollinate each other. You have some bisexual plants that have both male and female parts and then you have separate male and female plants. Even the bisexual plants still require pollination from the opposite sex in order to reproduce. You don’t see reproduction among two male or two female plants - that doesn’t happen BECAUSE IT’S NOT NATURAL. Plants don’t get to “think” about whether or not to be male or female or even whether or not they want to reproduce with a member of the opposite sex - IT’S NATURE!
Now if two people of the same sex want to bang it out and fall in love then get married, then so be it. Love is love and I’m in no position to say they can’t love each other. I do not, however, believe gay couples should be able to have children. Young children need to have a male and female figure in their life from a young age. It’s part of their psychological growth.
I know full well I’m probably getting slammed over this but it’s how I feel. Love whoever you want but I draw the line at same-sex couples having children.

It's not about being pro or anti-gay. It's about religious organizations having the FREEDOM to choose what to do with THEIR services based on religious beliefs, of which are non-violent.

Adoption agencies should be allowed to set their own rules.
Maybe the gays can open up their own adoption agency.

I'm not in favor of allowing organizations to deny gay couples to adopt. There are plenty of gay couples that can be trusted with children.
However, I can endorse a policy that states heterosexual couples must come first and have most important priority before gay couples as children benefit more from a balanced relationship in a Mother and Father.

Catholic adoption agencies don't want to adopt gay couples. There are other groups who will. Why does the government have a say?

Good.
The stance should be seeking to provide the best care for these children, and two mommies or two daddies isn't the best care for children who benefit from having both gender roles represented.

I’ll never argue that. There definitely are millions of gay couples who can be trusted with children. To me, it’s not a matter of trust. It’s a matter of fricking that child up mentally even while having 100% good intentions.

So you would prefer a kid not have a permanent home even tho the couple was gay? Think about it before you answer.
There was a time when I thought like you.....until my wife and I adopted a kid.....there's over 100K kids in this country that need a home.

You certainly have a right to your opinion although it's obvious you don't know any gay couples who've adopted or lesbian couples who have children that are the biological children from previous marriages/relationships. If you had any personal relationships with any you would realize how absurd your generalizations are and would probably be embarrassed. I'm not sure how you can defend leaving a lot if these kids as wards if the state and to have a very unstable and lifeless childhood and also being subjected to mental and sexual abuse in many cases. You'd rather then be in close contacts with Catholic priests and others whom they have no control and no way of escaping?
