Substance wise, Troy Carter is every bit the bat shite leftist KCP is, he just sounds nicer, more boring about it and maintains an absolute low profile.

I got a text from one of Troy’s testers that said a vote for Troy is a vote for reparations.

If AOC and friends spent $1 million on Karen Carter Peterson to try and get her the victory, then she is the worst choice (even if Carter is similar). Glad they took the loss.

Carter proposed the $15/minimum wage legislation in Louisiana (stupid pandering idea to get votes) and then Karen Carter Peterson (forever pandering) said she believed it should be a $20/hr minimum wage.

Aren't both of these retards Democrats?
Because it is gerrymandered district. No republican can win it. But it's the only district in the state that goes democrat. The other 6 representative districts and the 2 senators are all Republicans. So 8 to 1

Word around town being KCPs supporters pulled a republican list to text to scare y’all into voting for her by pretending to be his team incompetently telling the secret to conservatives by accident

Yea dems would probably love to break it up a bit to be more competitive overall instead of a 98% blue district sprawling across the two urban centers. If they were to draw the maps it’s likely split to create two winning districts, and not hem in all their voters and minimize impact.

Intentionally drawn this way to ensure an AA would always be representing Louisiana in Congress.

It was pandering for sure. They both support $15 but Troy got a bill oug of committee. So he had a skin on the wall and she didn't and she had to try to downplay him.

Actually, LA-02 is like 39% white and 37% Republican

Intentionally drawn this way to ensure there wouldn’t be 2, no?

Again, gerrymandering here would be maximizing the number of districts you can win. You want a lot of 55-45 splits, not a single 90-10. The 90-10 is the district that results for your opponent when you’ve boxed all there voters into a minimally impactful block.
