Resident EM docs
For all you non physician idiots googling EM compensation, let me help you out with an actual physician specific compensation survey. A few years old but still closer than anything that’s been thrown out. MGMA median EM compensation was $363,000 in the 2020 survey. Does not include residents. $504k was 90th %-ile.

You sure? You use their "little guy" bullshite talking points pretty well. Even some of their common terms...

I guess if capacity doesn't matter lol. What is this nonsense.

I think I can hear people hitting the exits now over an inability to get competent medical care.

A full time ER doc in a busy tertiary care hospital makes 500k at least.
But they may, if they extend into 50-60hr weeks.

They are compensated for numbers. If they can generate better numbers hiring non-English-speaking locum RNs migrants from Sri Lanka, they'll do just that, quality be damned.

This will end very poorly for the citizens in that area.

Nursing is such an easy low skilled job that even women can do it

There’s a national nursing shortage. I haven’t heard about a CEO shortage yet.
And eventually hospitals will need to increase pay and conditions to keep nurses

Is this going to cause a dip in ls-who's nil?

People take jobs knowing pay, want to unionize when they become unsatisfied with that pay they agreed to.
Not the most thoughtful bunch for sure. I suppose self governing is out of the question for them.

This is why I never bought into the "Women only male $0.80 on the dollar for a man doing the same job" refrain.
If you're offered less than the market would dictate, DON'T TAKE THE frickING JOB AND TELL THEM TO GET LOST.

I know you truly believe you know everything but this isn’t true. Even if it were true, why are you so passionately against allowing strangers to determine the conditions theyare willing to work under? You already shared that you think nurses are stupid and easily replaced. Why not trust the almighty market to sort this out? If people agree with you, they won’t utilize union hospitals.
