Because its total bullshite. Women choose work that requires little skill.

Why do you care if other people do? You’re passionately against other people making their own decisions about their employment. Why?

Its absolutely true.

You folks dont believe in merit because you have no real value on the market. You take low paying jobs, then whine and complain that everyone else is passing you by.

You control your destiny, why the frick do you want some union fat cats controlling it?

Unionized nurses means a lower standard of care, lower entry requirements, and higher medical costs. Unions exist for two reasons: Leftist political power and self perpetuation. Patients aren't even a distant third.

It was done for many years before CEOs entered the picture and drove the costs of your care way up

Again, if you think the salary of any CEO in the country is any more than a tiny drop in the bucket, you are simply a moron. It means you've never done the math. No CEO salary in the country is driving the cost of anything up.

Now, if you're talking about some other way that CEOs have supposedly driven prices up, I will listen.

I also don't know when you're talking about that hospitals didn't have CEOs. When are we talking about here? 1700?

Is your claim that hospitals with non-unionized nurses charge less for services than unionized hospitals?

People take jobs knowing pay, want to unionize when they become unsatisfied with that pay they agreed to.

Not the most thoughtful bunch for sure. I suppose self governing is out of the question for them.
Self-governance or shared governance would be fine. In the US medical model where only non-MD groups can legally own Hospitals, neither is an option. Instead we are left with the Pete Novembers of the world "running things," but with no training in healthcare provision, no clue about quality care nor any incentive to encourage it, and no idea as to how to bring it about even if they wanted to try.

As stated previously, "Hosp Admins are compensated for numbers. If they can generate better numbers hiring non-English-speaking locum RNs migrants from Sri Lanka, they'll do just that, quality be damned."

So while RNs signed up for a comp package, Hospital Admins dramatically and stupidly altered their work environment.

You claim this as a success because it pushes your political objectives while being contrary to your stated objectives and don't see the disconnect. But no one is going to tell you anything because you're brave, strong, and fierce. Blatant, willful stupidity.

Think "AggieHank" in drag.

State stupid, flaming opinions openly seeking negative feedback, THEN act all shocked when the feedback comes, play the victim, get up on your cross and play the martyr, all the while thinking you're the first person on the Internet to ever do this.....

So you are okay with getting fricked in a large organization? Because that is what you are saying. You are thinking that your direct supervisor see that ole Roger is a real go getter and he wants a few bucks more and you are thinking that based on recommendation of supervisor someone up the latter is going to give ole Rog that money?

Maybe in a smaller organization, but in behemoths like Ochsner, that determination is made by someone who does not even know the supervisor....so you get fricked on your request.

Oh, but then I will take my skills elsewhere and negotiate what I'm worth. If you are a skilled hourly worker.....good luck. The employer knows then that they collectively have you as an individual over a barrel....usually face down.

My statement is unions raise medical costs across the board.
