My prediction is that Dems already told McCarthy they will get a few people to vote for him - provided they can do it at COB on Friday, like at a special midnight vote or something along those lines.

This would make McCarthy incredibly weak. He would get constantly attacked and of course the Dems want this. He would probably get primaried in his own district for this kind of move. With this kind of move he would have no agenda.
