I could also see him ending up as the 21st century version of Andrew Jackson

Which legacy will Trump wind up with?
Every president has his own legacy, and Trump will be no different. Take Obama for example. His legacy is one of corruption, failure, incompetency, and narcissism. But even with many striking similarities to the Jimmy Carter presidency, nobody says Obama wound up with Carter's legacy. They just say he sucked, and since most of his successes came with his phone and his pen, they were nothing if not temporary, and self-serving.

If not these too, name another President.

Less than a year after Jackson left office the US had the largest recession until the Great Depression.
He is not known for his bills and veto’s of bills that helped cause the recession. This recession lasted from 1837 until 1843.
Jackson also passed “the trail of tears” bill. He also helped congressman Davy Crockett lose his seat. He helped his opponent by making up lies about Crockett in the media. Jackson did this because Crockett lead the opposition against the Indian relocation act(trail of tears).
Hopefully Trump is not similar to Jackson in these ways.

Why not both?
Almost Impeached, resigns to spare gop impeachment before 2018 midterms, and is then diagnosed with Alzheimer's, from which he dies.

Nixon or Reagan -- Trump Legacy?
This country and its binary choices.
I think he'll end up like Obama: governed via executive order and overrated as frick by his supporters.

Obama or Carter
I just don't see how anyone could believe that GW Bush was any better than those two.
Or hell, even Nixon, for that matter....
....other than just pure partisan hackery.

Bush 2 was an establishment republican, who pretty much did establishment republican things, almost none of which I appreciated. But there is no question that he is an honorable man, who loves this country and the people in it.
One of the things about him that I hated the most was the fact that he refused to fight the leftists who constantly attacked him. If you read his book, you learn that he thought it was beneath the office of the presidency to engage in the fray. He was willing to absorb any criticism, and wouldn’t even allow his people to strike back, because he thought it diminished the respect for the office. I didn’t like much of what he did, but W was and is a good dude.
Obama? He’s just a piece of America hating shite, any way you look at it.

Better than Reagan.
Heck, he might surpass that mark 3/4 through his first term.

History is going to remember the Bush family as aristocrats who put their dignity above the good of the Republic. Thankfully Trump doesn't have that problem. The best comparison is Andrew Jackson.
