The REALLY sad thing about this is that StrongSafety is not alone. There is an incredible amount of people like him who feel exactly the same, if not even more self-deluded. Why couldn't we have picked our own cotton!?!?

We needed tanks to take Grenada?

Makes me want to vomit when I read the comment sections in articles. Worst president ever. The Bergdahl swap is all you need to know to measure the stupidity of that idiot.

It's sad that you have nothing better to do than troll a message board. Take a walk, see what life is.

That, the meddling in the Israeli election, tampering in our own elections, frequent invitations to the WH of Sharpton and BLM, Bengazi, etc. . . . and these Skrong Safety types and their media allies just applauding at every turn. Sickening.

What about this makes you proud?
Now Michelle on the other hand...she has family from the Mississippi exodus.

Without having to walk anywhere, ANYONE can see that life has been made A LOT worse for a lot of people by that worthless shite-for-brains president.

When Reagan invaded and defeated Grenada. One of the tougher weekends in American military history and by God, he showed em.
That is over the top ridiculous.
The Marine deployment to Beirut was a fiasco. And it was the feckless foreign policy of the Reagan team who made it happen. The Marines were just targets and the Reagan department of State alienated every faction, including the Israelis.
Grenada was also a total frick story that led to the Goldwater–Nichols Department of Defense Reorganization Act in 1986.
But I always get a kick out of this:
"We have two companies of Marines running rampant all over the northern half of this island, and three Army regiments pinned down in the southwestern corner, doing nothing. What the hell is going on?
-Gen. John W. Vessey Jr., USA, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff;
during
the assault on Grenada, 1983

Oh Lord. That tank probably one of the M-60s in the platoon attached to the MAU.
Sun Tzu also said, "He who defends all defends nothing."
More correctly Sun Tzu said that the acme of skill is not to fight and win 100 battles. The acme of skill is to achieve your aims without fighting at all.

I know I openly wept with pride the day Sheila Jackson Lee was freed from a lifetime of slavery.

I imagine the OP wasn't asking for personal anecdotes, but here's one anyway.
Flying home from Desert Storm. We had a scheduled brief night stopover at Bangor Maine, probably 11pm or so. We weren't supposed to deplane. Nonetheless the pilot guided the plane to a jetway, then walked back and said "You all need to see this."
He signaled us to exit the plane. We really just wanted to get home, but when we stepped into the terminal there were a couple of hundred folks cheering, waving flags, thanking us for service, shaking our hands. Completely unexpected. It was a very special moment.
When we got home to Keesler it was after 2AM, the base had allowed civilian access, and it looked like half of Biloxi was waving flags on the tarmac. Very special moments as an American.

To be fair, this was long overdue...
