A growing number of Americans are becoming lazy, fat, and stupid. They want something for nothing and when somebody else puts in the sweat and tears to make something of themselves they feel entitled to a piece of that as well. Democrats are totally playing into that hand which is shameful and does not align with the ideals this country was founded upon. The few progressives on this site that defend this way of life should get their head out of their arse and have some forethought into where this country is headed should their platform prevail. Fortunately, and for now, the smart outnumber the stupid.

The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty
A mass strategy to recruit the poor onto welfare rolls would create a political crisis that could result in legislation that brings an end to poverty.
Cloward/Piven Strategy
Some Lefties have believed for generations that subsidizing failure would somehow disincentivize failure.
fricking retards.
They've ALWAYS known it's great for votes, though. From that same article;

And those seeking new ways to engage the Negro politically should remember that public resources have always been the fuel for low-income urban political organization. If organizers can deliver millions of dollars in cash benefits to the ghetto masses, it seems reasonable to expect that the masses will deliver their loyalties to their benefactors. At least, they have always done so in the past.

mice die in traps because they don’t understand traps, much less the concept of free food

Literally the point of the thread

Yes. It's crazy. You can put it in a cast iron skillet for 30 minutes and it doesn't melt. I don't know what that is, but it ain't cheese.

It is most certainly not.

It was simply over produced Wisconsin cheddar. That's how one of the dairy farmer subsidies works matter of fact. The govt. buys up the surplus and distributes through food relief programs.

Absolutely. The government cheese we got when I was a kid was the best. It wasn't unmeltable mutant Velveeta cooked up in some government lab, it was just surplus cheese in a nice cardboard container.
