He's your worst enemy. That's all you need to know, leftist.

Typical boog mentality to tuck your tail and run for the hills when faced with adversity.

No, “who” was correct. “Whom” also would have been correct.

“Who was arrested?” was the implied sentence. Had he implied “They arrested whom?” than obviously “whom” would be correct. But we must assume the correct implication.

Retarded statement on multiple levels

In a libertarian state, a law like the Terrorism Act would never exist.

And our closest comparable law was passed by Republicans and re-upped in every Republican government since.

I can’t agree with you here. During covid the Biden administration worked with social media companies to suppress free speech, including speech that correctly criticized false government dogma. This was illegal, but it was done by democrats. Then Biden tried to start a “Ministry of Truth” only to withdraw under general outrage.

You are right about FISA (I presume). But the main impetus for suppression of political speech is from the left. That is unequivocally true.

What I don't understand is there is a journalist named Richard Medhurst who is an interesting follow -- he is very pro Gaza, Iran, very critical of the U.S./UK/Israel, and they went after him with terrorism charges. If the country was so pro-Muslim, why would they do that?

What does this have to do with libertarians or big Brother Republicans?

Their narratives don't make sense and the reality is much simpler in terms of how big government like to get bigger. It doesn't require a brown or esoteric boogeyman to justify the encroachment on freedom.

Of course they are not pro-Muslim. The operating fallacy that is driving them to destruction is multi-culturalism in the service of the new world order.

Their insistence that Muslims can be partners in a liberal democratic project is tragically mistaken, and it leads to the absurdities that makes them appear to be pro-Muslim.

There were several parts to your post. The “libertarian” comment was obviously true, so I didn’t address it at all. The only thing I can assume is that the poster used the wrong word there.

I addressed “big brother republican” by saying “You are right…”, so I’m surprised to see you bring it up here.

Your post implied that Republicans were the biggest cause of Orwellian government, and my post was to set the record straight that it was the democrats who were.

No. I only said they have been a participant, and that includes Trump's two admins. And MAGA largely supports a strong police state, on the domestic level (just look at all the "law and order" threads)

Hopefully the UK has a full blown civil war. Why? Because in this day and age people who stupidly say utter idiotic crap like, “we need to talk to each other, we need to listen to each other…..” is total fantasy bullshite.

The entrenched ideology is too strong for dialogue. Those days are over.

Oh, btw, Keir Starmer is the dumbest son of a bitch on Earth.

Geographically, the US is exponentially larger than the UK. We will always have Red states. Many options here.

Oh? Since you're so brave, go to London and hold up a sign that reads "Mohammed was a pedophile".

You might not have meant the implication that republicans were the biggest problem, but a reasonable person would infer it. And your post history is one in which that inference is often teased by you to be provocative.

As to the Trump bit, it’s true. Power corrupts. As soon as someone takes power he begins to gentle toward the government overreach he used to criticize.
