What I don’t understand is why Germany & the Soviets couldn’t be allies in WW2
With that being said, I don’t get why we aren’t allies with Russia in 2024.

They signed a non aggression pact and both invaded Poland. For some strange reason England and France didn’t declare war on the Soviets.

Shouldn’t have entered WWII at all. There is evidence that suggests FDR was looking for a conflict to have an excuse to get involved. The New Deal wasn’t working and unemployment was still high.
Our trade policy towards Japan became increasingly hostile prior to Pearl Harbor. We blockaded their access to oil, which was a significant import for them. As in WWI, we bailed out the British. Our campaign to “make the world safe for democracy” created the deadliest century in history and gave rise to fascism, Nazism and communism. We should have let the Nazis and Soviets destroy each other instead of gifting Stalin Eastern Europe.

Nazis, with their race/eugenics based philosophy, do not come to power without the globalist flavor of bolshevism (COMINTERN). It was the bolshevic mission of promoting their brand of socialism world wide, especially in Germany after they failed in Poland, that triggered what was essentially a leftist Civil War pre-Hitler.
One way or the other, the left wins eastern Europe.

You forget the part where the Russian winter really did a number on the Nazis? They could have taken Russia, but it wouldn't have been a given...
