Today Marks 18 Years that America Elected Their First Black President

On this day, in 2008, Barack Obama was voted into office as the First Black President. I remember my roommate, who was black, referred to America as "A-M-E-R-I-KKK-A". He was a preacher, so he did not vote because he was anti-abortion, but was elated when Obama won. It's fantastic that a black man won the election, but the Obama worship was a bit much. It did not improve race relations at all; if anything, it made it worse. In my voting precinct, there was a black mayor who did not win, and everyone is blaming it on race (idiots). No, he was just an awful candidate.

The Dems can celebrate once again, because there is almost no way the Dems can lose the presidential election in 2028; I think even John Kerry or Walter Mondale (I know he's dead, but you get the point) could win.
