This will be challenged, and possibly the constitutionality of Title IX altogether will be evaluated. Could be a FAFO moment.

We made it just over 50 years with Title IX, now they've rendered it useless by allowing people to claim whatever gender identity they prefer at that moment.

I look forward to the similar destruction of the Civil Rights Act, Voting Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. Because if you can identify as whatever gender you like, you can obviously identify as whatever race and disability status you prefer as well. "Trust the science" is SO 2020, we're trusting feelings now.

Many men's sports programs were eliminated because of the mandate that their be an equal number of athletic scholarship opportunities for men and women. With football having the largest rosters and no equivalent female sport, sports like wrestling, men's gymnastics, etc were eliminated to allow football to maintain it's large number of male scholarships while allowing females sports to have an equivalent amount across the board. But if gender is now WHOLLY subjective, what's to stop a school from having a wrestling program where all of the members on scholarship (while actually male) identify as "female". How can one argue they aren't if their subjective belief is all that matters?

The best way to combat absurd and illogical policy to display that absurdity in action. College baseball programs should now offer 40 full scholarships. Just have 25 players self identify (on paper) as female. The result would be an INCREASE in "female" participation/scholarships. Isn't that one of the goals of Title IX? What do you mean that 220 lb person with hairy balls and a beard isn't a female? "She" says "she" is. And that's the only criteria.

Hell, while they seem to be primed for stupidity, might as well take their voting rights, too.

Absolutely!

And the challengers will be women who have the audacity to believe that gender is not just a subjective "feeling". These dumbasses could significantly harm women's sports all in the name of "progress"

But hey, that's the thing about being a "progressive". There ALWAYS has to be "progress"...even if it leads to absurd results that nullify the previous "progress"

One positive is that the school can't suspend a student that's under a sexual assault investigation. So a woman can no longer accuse a man of rape and get immediate revenge.

That might be a positive, if they weren't also removing the due process requirements put in place by Trump.

I find it hard to believe this will stand up in court. Might be the end of Title IX completely.

I am amazed at how women have allowed themselves to become marginalized after fighting for their place in the world.

No wonder so many of them support the current Iranian leadership….

I didn't vote for diapers Joe and his shitshow.

I tried reasoning with other females that voting Hildebeast / Creepy Joe was a bad idea, and they went ballistic. What ya gonna do when they brag about their "female" hairdresser who stands up to pee.

Good. Women, particularly female college students, vote overwhelmingly for this sort of thing. They deserve to get the consequences good and hard.

Judge: Louisiana legislative districts dilute Black voting strength, violate the Voting Rights Act

quote:

New state House and Senate boundary lines drawn up by the Louisiana Legislature in 2022 dilute Black voting strength in violation of the U.S. Voting Rights Act, a federal judge in Baton Rouge ruled Thursday.

...filing noted that the state’s voting-age population is about 33% Black. But only 11 of 39 state Senate districts and 29 of 105 House districts are predominantly Black — less than a third in each case.

Dick’s order gives the state a “reasonable period of time” to approve new legislative districts that do not violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits voting laws or procedures that purposefully discriminate on the basis of race, color or membership in a language minority group.

“This decision sets a powerful precedent for challenging discriminatory redistricting efforts across the nation, confirming that attempts to dilute Black communities’ votes and their power will not be tolerated,” said Megan Keenan, staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union’s Voting Rights Project. The ACLU was part of a coalition of voters and organizations that challenged the maps.

Louisiana residents, this is your time to shine.

Race is a social construct, as we have repeatedly been told.
Gender is also a social construct, as we have repeatedly been told.

Should a substantial number of you now decide to self-identify as Black, your legislative districts suddenly become majority-Black. Congrats - Louisiana is now compliant with the Voting Rights Act!

Use their own rules against them.

But you have to actually take action, just as the trans rights activists have done. There is current litigation regarding both Congressional and state redistricting, get involved and do something.

What race did you identify as on the 2020 Census? Will you choose the same option on the 2030 Census? What race did you select when you enrolled your children in school? Are you part of the vast sea of pink below? Who says you have to be? What if you identify differently now?

If women who vote democrat didn't know what was meant by the expression "hoisted by your own petard" before, they are about to get a good understanding now.

It's really unreal just how backwards they've went in service to left wing ideology.

100% agree.

I harp on this constantly but this is why I'm so adamant about actually thinking about how you self-identify on the various forms we are all asked to fill out for ourselves and our children. Employment applications, education registration, Census... these all ask you to SELF identify, many are even anonymous. You can put whatever you want! There is no way for them to verify this information or make you "prove" anything.

The data is used against you so corrupt the data.

Having defended these - let me just tell you - this is a huge problem, and utterly abhorrent. Even under Trump era “due process rules” you’re in a star chamber with no appeal.

Now that trannies are required to be in private spaces, if a female complains about someone with a penis marching around in the dorm shower, female students are also committing Title IX violations. Mind you these disputes are decided by academics. Who is some sociology professor gonna side with - the naked dude with a beard and breasts or some “heteronormative white sorority girl” who complains about it.

Wednesday nails it.

Trans student complains that it has been misgendered, it's now a Title IX issue. Student has to go in front of academic tribunal full of leftists who expel student.

So looks like we need some worthy patriots to truly make a mockery of this idea. The dude that got banned by the NBA should just identify as a female and dominate the WNBA. I’m sure there are some dudes out there who would take this task head on to prove how utterly ridiculous this all is.

Hell they should just have an entire softball or soccer team of men playing against women. If you’re a tiny d1 school, especially in soccer, the world is your oyster now. Make an entire team of men and win the national championship. That would ruffle a lot of feathers and be hilarious in the process.
