That Ops Safety guy wouldn't be bought and raised a stink and got fired. But at least he doesn't have the blood of those people on his soul. Nor does he have to worried about being sued or put in jail. Did the right thing.

Before cockpit doors I used to peek inside the cockpit and look inside who the pilots were. I always looked for older gray haired white guys. They made me feel the most comfortable that I was going to safely reach my destination. It's just human nature we profile this stuff.

I’m completely against the woke/affirmative action BS we are seeing these days, but I’ll bet we are going to find out this tragedy was an equipment failure, and no submarine captain could have prevented or mitigated it.
