Trump is just not it. Find a better candidate that more people will support other then the 35% if you want to win or just keep posting on an obscure message board like the rest of us for another 4 years.

You cannot possibly be this stupid but I’ll bite. Read some American history and learn about the small states fearful of joining a union dominated by large states. Learn about why we have a House and a Senate. Learn why we are a Republic and not a Democracy. A Republic of laws where your rights cannot be voted away. Unfortunately some of the people in this country are willing to trade away our rights for the illusion of safety.

So be what? We have a constitution that organizes our government, and is the only reason our government has power over citizens. Do actually you not know that, or just think for some reason we don't have to follow it?

Because the US would look like California.

Enough illegals have already come in to form a new state. If they all moved to Louisiana we’d be the minority.

If you want America to immediately become a banana republic, that's how to do it.

Let's just give complete & total power over to the big city political machines

What is so scary about the concept of the majority vote winning. Only could be fear that you will not win because as you know you may not be in the majority.

All of that bullshite up there is why we are a republic.

NYC and LA should not be able to decide what is the best for the entire country. I'm assuming you are from Louisiana? Do they not teach civics in the 9th grade any longer?

Why is it so hard to understand the U.S. was formed as a union of states and never was intended to be governed by a behemoth federal government? The fact that so much power has been improperly ceded to the federal government makes the Electoral College a hill to die on.

Read the Federalist Papers for education. You might understand our country is the united states, not a democracy for a reason. Democracies fail. Always have. Republics have a better history. not fail-proof, but a better form of governing.

You are wither naive or ignorant or trolling.

Under the current system, not everyone’s vote counts the same. You are penalized if you happen to live in a populous state.

Under a popular vote, everyone in America gets an equal vote. Seems fair.
