Supposedly “unbiased” pundits who become mouthpieces for candidates are grifters. If your opinion on things change based on what you think your audience wants to hear, you are a grifter.
You are hearing the word grifter more because they are becoming a lot more prevalent in the “conservative” space.

Never in my life have I seen so much attention paid to the individuals running a campaign. Prior to this campaign season you never really knew or even cared who was running a candidate’s campaign.
Trump supporters fascination with the individuals running DeSantis’s campaign is weird AF. Just creepy.
And for Trump supporters supporting Tim Poole? WTF? The dude came of age during the Occupy Wall Street days, and now he is some sort of neo-conservative person that we should care about?
Tim Poole is the poster child for the fact that there is VERY little daylight between the populism of Trump and Occupy Wall Street.
Trump supporters fascination with the individuals running DeSantis’s campaign is weird AF. Just creepy.
