I have posited my argument several times. We need qualified H1B visas to grow American manufacturing and tech.
Closing the border and deporting criminal illegals is what was promised, and nothing has changed in that regard.
Bringing in educated immigrants can be debated in good faith. There is no crisis.

The gov already grants 200-300% of the cap each year.
650k H1Bs have been granted the past 4 years and another 140k are on the way in 2025.

Doesn't sound like much action needs to be taken then
I do think that companies should be required to pay them the same as American workers to ensure that they aren't abusing it for cheap labor though

A retard on the OT started a thread with that headline but the tweet he linked as his "source" was Elon talking about doubling the number of engineers needed in reply to a post about McKinsey saying we needed 160k engineers by 2030.
If Elon said the words "I want to double the number of H1Bs visas" then I will gladly retract my statement.
