Cook still bears watching...

After helping shut down Parler server space he was making himself persona non grata anywhere back at his alma mater, Auburn.

This has potential to get him back on campus (accompanied by some Apple mega-cash donations).

The gauntlet. What’s more powerful? Facebook addiction, or the familiarity of use of the I-product?

Intuitively nothing feels appropriate about the motivations of Apple, FB, Google and Twitter. Given their simultaneously overt, yet covert political plans it’s hard to discern where you stand as the consumer or product.

Facebook will end because it simple isn’t cool. It is aging out already. It is a more successful MySpace now. Because of phones it will stick around for the aging group. Their market will continue to shrink as newer products come along. More products have replaced what Facebook was used for than any of the other apps.

Reading the excerpt, his bitch was more about giving users too much leeway to have free conversations than about the collection of the data. The later is simply the tool he is choosing to attack the former.

But what's most fascinating is that Cook took direct aim at Facebook without ever mentioning the company by name.

If you ask me, I'd say Tim Cook was afraid to call out FB by name. He knows many FB users are Apple customers as well.

Apple is no longer the company it once was and Cook is no Steve Jobs. If anything, Cook may be trying to appease Apple's customer base. There has been a lot of push back on the lack of privacy from Apple products. Apple used to have bragging rights on privacy but not any longer.

While I applaud Cook's perspective, he should look in the mirror relative to Apple's significant investment in the ultimate bad actor, the Communist Chinese Party.

They had been on a pretty steady ad revenue decline. Their cross platform sales with Instagram have helped.

Their general user is still aging upward. If Asia begins to like a product better, FB will plummet.

He basically regurgitates /the social dilemma. What nobody is talking about is a REAL PLAN to take this on and to restore the proper relationship between consumer/customer and platform/tool. We are past the time for lip service.

Tim Cook puts other mens' penises in his mouth and his anus.

That's pretty nasty.

He's no hero, in any event.
