Please enjoy this juicy propaganda.

quote:

Americans are facing a retirement crisis. In fact, half of Black Americans, due to a system of inequities, don’t have enough savings to retire. So TIAA is on a mission to #RetireInequality.

What are some other reasons black's can't retire? Is it all Whitey's fault?

Yes. You must enter the work force in order to retire.

This probably does have a kernel of truth to it. Not that it's all whitey's fault and it probably doesn't affect the vast majority of black workers today but it probably does affect those who finished their schooling or began their careers prior to the Civil Rights Act in the 60s. Which based on that being 60 years ago affects almost no one trying to retire today.

I would assume those people had lower educational attainment and probably struggled to find jobs with pensions or that allowed them to save money for retirement due to low pay.

With all of that said, half of White Americans probably don't have enough to retire either so cry me a river about one group being worse off than the other.

Is TIAA investing a sizable portion of their profits into this?

Or are they lobbying for reparations to add to their coffers?

The tension is palpable.

Such a joke. They are ruthless capitalist commercial property owners with a thin veneer of “social justice.”

Wait a minute I thought blacks couldn't get a job due to racism so how could they even retire?

I had considered the same. I’m thinking the latter.

Yes. Half seems really pretty good. Probably lots of government jobs like the USPS.

Joe Biden was to correct this, no?

ETA: For a good many of them, it's never enough. Until they shut up about racism on every corner they turn, it will always remain exactly the way it is. But, the democratic party has them programmed this way and it started with Lyndon Johnson. The democratic party has not one damn thing to help bring them out of poverty. They just keep giving them false promises and they fall for each and every time. Yes, even their savior Obama did the exact same thing.

Any mention in the article in the spending habits differences between middle class whites and blacks.

At my job there is a huge difference in the vehicles black people drive and white people and we make the same money.
