He ran as a conservative. He's not doing anything conservative.

It's also clear he's controlled by special interest groups.

It's disappointing as conservatives control both houses. Now was the time to change La.

Like Jindal we're a stepping stone, he's looking towards a job with the feds.

He’s basically all of the worst traits of republicans and dixiecrats coalesced into one man. He is the textbook fiscal liberal/social conservative. He is the worst of every world, a political gamesman to the core. He is everything I warned y’all he would be and worse. The man makes me ashamed to call myself a Republican.

Either that or he has his sights on:

Or

the Senate as replacement for Cassidy or Kennedy when they retire

Probably his best work so far and I'm serious.

He hasn't done shite except pass a few red meat bills, grandstand and raise taxes on almost everything we buy.

If CC is someone’s only big issue, they have some weird priorities.

Bit of a contrarian on this, but hear me out.

He has actually done better than I thought. He got some good secretaries in his cabinet. Tax reform is a big deal, and economic development looks good. I look forward to workforce development improvements.

That said...I had dirt-level low expectations of him. Not a fan of his power consolidation and gutting of ethics in the state. And blocking insurance reform is just terrible.

If you are referring to the recent corporate announcements of big companies locating in LA, he has had nothing to do with those. These things take years to come into fruition. He just happened to be the one who got to stand at the podium and announce them.

I think you are basically right.

The exception would be Meta. That really started at Washington Mardi Gras last year. Now, that isn't to say that Landry had a ton to do with it, but he should get some credit for it.
