He's ok but he pissed me off during the election

This election was clearly about two (well actually three people) - TRUMP, Biden, Kamala

And he kept bashing Trump over the most pettiest bullshite

And he voted for and endorsed him at the end. Behind Elon, RFK, Rogan, and Tulsi, I’d say his endorsement was the biggest and in the Top 5 since Libertarians take him seriously and then voted for Trump in droves.

He had a pretty good fastball and was one of the Astros better relievers behind maybe Wagner and Lidge.

If you haven’t watched the Smith Vs Cuomo debate on PBD that is linked above please watch it. Cuomo is just completely beaten down mentally & physically after that.

It’s fine with me but not during an election like that.

Hate trump all you want but if it comes to freedom vs communism, do everything possible to get the freedom elected

I wouldn’t want to debate Dave Smith. He’s an assassin. Loved when Cuomo said, “I didn’t mock Joe Rogan for taking horse paste” then the PDB crew hits play on a clip of him mocking Joe Rogan for taking horse paste.

I think we understand your point of view, Mr FLTech.

It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. They had all of Cuomo clips on CNN making fun of conservatives, covid vaccine skeptics, & Trump supporters all teed up & ready to play as soon as soon as he lied saying he never said anything bad about them.

I thought it was hilarious that Dave, leading up to the debate, was sort of trying to talk Cuomo out of it, telling him what was going to happen, which ultimately did happen. He couldn’t believe Cuomo was going to actually do it because it was going to be such a bear down..and it was.

He doesn’t hate him though. Who said anything about anyone hating trump? I think that’s a huge part of the issue people have with certain elements of MAGA. Anything that isn’t complete adulation is viewed in such as someone hating the guy or being actively against him.

You mean over the FACTS? You people who believe in compromising ethics, morals and the truth all for the win it or nothing mentality show me you believe in nothing more than this life…sadness.

Either GOD is real or He is not. If He is real - which He is (look at creation and your own heart) - then you must stand for truth even if it means “losing”.

Biggest gripe with him is his constant muh CIA bullshite. When people over-rely on that I tend to devalue them and tune them out.

Well he’s right about the CIA. You’re a fricking moron if you trust the intelligence agencies.

Dave Smith is one of my favorite political commentators because he gives a somewhat neutral perspective and you can hear criticisms of both political parties, which is valuable. Also his current events/cultural critiques are usually pretty good.

Libertarianism is a failed and flawed ideology, so I’m not interested in being sold on its merits anymore. I listen to Smith a lot, and there’s signs of cracks in his own commitment to the dogma. Wouldn’t be surprised if he became a reactionary at some point in the future, but being the libertarian guy is currently his niche.

He was recently reviewing his past with the Libertarian party. He talked about almost running (in 2020 I think.)

Said he soon realized the personal sacrifice it would be to him and his family, (and of course, no real chance of winning), so he decided not to run. He also implied that he would never make that sacrifice.

Said he thought the role he was in now was the most useful.

I enjoy his position which allows him to be critical of both sides, which is what I think we truly need in our media. And is sorely lacking.

He’s critical of both. It’s not lost on him the problem with Islam.

He is no longer in favor of open borders as an example. I appreciate this especially since it was a sticking point with the LP for me as well. I think he is no longer in favor of abortion either now that he has kids.

He's a libertarian. He's going to disagree with Trump on 90% of things. It would he dishonest for him to endorse Trump on a lesser of two evils basis and pretend that he's onboard with MAGA.

Also his biggest criticism was the handling of Covid which is not "the most pettiest."
