do not need to come crying and blame Republicans when it all comes crashing down with high taxes. I can't think of a single place that has thrived under Democrat management and remember, you did it to yourselves.

Being an SJW is expensive, in more ways than one.

Texas is becoming the new California. With more of your older conservatives dying, the growing numbers of bi racial and hispanic children that are becoming 18. The future is looking different for Good Ole Texas

Yep. They leave California bc it’s broke, expensive and job market....then they come to Texas and immediately start saying how everything is backwards and start trying to change it into California....the state they just had to leave bc it wasn’t working for them. It’s insane.

34 years in Louisiana and now 12 in Virginia. I am a conservative Republican and it is time to get of this state!

Just moved across the border to West Virginia. The drive is well worth it.

The people in those areas care more about social issues, than what is best for the country.

They'll put the blame on someone else. They'll never admit that they're doctrine is morally bankrupt and they're subhuman filth.

People are fleeing New Jersey because of high taxes, so let's see how this continues to shake out for the state. As for the freak in Virginia who ousted the incumbent, it actually focused on local issues that were important to the folks. Besides 26 years is too long to be in Congress, so it was time for the incumbent to go.

They’re not fleeing to Louisiana.

What does this have to do with the price of eggs in China?

Well, the premise of the thread is that democratically run states are worse off than republican run states (and that being democratically run is the de facto reason for that quality). You added that people are fleeing one of those states (presumably to republican run ones). I just pointed out a counter argument to one implied argument in your statement.

People here always conflate Dem run cities in Louisiana with Dem run cities in functioning parts of the country, not even close to the same thing.

NYC, New Jersey, and Virginia are all thriving.

The worst Governor in NJ was Christine Todd Whitman, a Republican, who cut taxes 20% without cutting spending, then "borrowed" from the state's pension funds to cover deficits. Still paying for her mistakes from the late 1990's.
