Trump is too stupid to know what Massie is about and stands for.

The relief packages.. I'm on the fence and can see both points of view. Msm, social media and Democrats set up a situation where hundreds of millions of people were being promised a little money. And it wasn't a figurative thing like Democrats preach about reparations. It was a lil money that the vast majority of Americans would receive, at a time when the government was shutting almost everything down and forcing people out of work. By going against the relief packages was basically going against hundreds of millions of Americans. I can see why most politicians didn't want to go against it.
I also understand the staunch politicians who are willing to tell hundreds of millions of Americans to frick off, in order to stand by their own morals on a specific issue.
I personally believe the relief packages were a mistake. Not because they gave people a little money, but because politicians used the relief packages as a means to fund a lot of their own pet projects and to give themselves pay increases. If they were genuinely concerned about the citizens, they should've created a package that consisted solely on giving Americans the little money.

Imo, it was better to give taxpayers a little of their money back, opposed to what is currently going on, shipping a ton of money overseas to foreign countries, on a regular basis. shite that is still impacting us, but benefits no one except for the elites of our country and the elites of foreign countries.

I know many people who made more in Covid unemployment than they did before the pandemic.

It's just another datapoint telling us the Trump hates conservative ideals unless they gain him votes. There's a word for that... maybe someone can help me out...

Not even remotely close to what happened. Trump borrowed money from my great grandkids and gave it to me now.

quote:Actually, his strongest appeal, in my estimation, is if we don't elect him the DS will be free to destroy any future candidate it chooses with lawfare. There may not be another candidate in history who could financially withstand DOJ and State funded attacks in seven or eight separate actions spread in venues across the US.
The ONLY appeal that he has is that he isn't Biden.

I’m sure you’d gladly vote for Nikki…but Trump is a fraud. The only President to tell the Europeans to pay their share of NATO to their face and call out the McConnell wing for being big business whores. The only President to ask why our boys are dying in Forever Wars we never win so the MIC can get fat…but yeah Trump is a total fraud.

I know I’m late on this, but I was referring to the attacks from the government trying to tear him down, not people’s individual opinions.

I expect accountability, where you prefer to ignore who his record says he is and hope he’s “figured it out” this time.
Wrong. I’m simply assuming he will win the nomination. That’s my entire point. I don’t think it’s productive to be overly critical of him if my choice is him or Biden, but high looks to be the most likely scenario.
quote:
Despite the fact that he’s tripled down on almost everything and even has advocated for more federal authority.
I see things from a different perspective. I find Trump to be extremely useful in exposing where the overreach in federal authority is. I don’t necessarily expect him to be the one to clean it up and am hopeful someone more well suited for that role will come along in the future. I was very hopeful that would have been Desantis in 2024. I thought that was his only real path to winning, but has been inherently muddied by other messaging from his campaign.
The one thing I notice about the Ron supporters on this board is they want to tell you what you think. Quit making so many assumptions. The divide you see, the cult that you envision is largely an illusion of your own closed mindedness. The cultists type people do exist, but making it requisite to denounce Trump to escape the lable has ensured that the Ron supporters are the ones on the fringe
