Since testing is low in many countries the denominator is low. That makes the entire fraction larger. The likely number of infections in the country is at least ten times the rate accepted.

That's not too spread fear, that is just a dose of reality. This virus had been in the country for weeks. Thousands have had it. Most thought of this is a little cold. Some thought they had the flu. A not insignificant portion had it and didn't even have any symptoms.

There will be more deaths from the flu this year in the United States than this virus.

So let me say trump has wobbled a bit early but to be fair this has never happened in anyone's lifetime. This is a totally new type of event for the world.

First he tried to maintain calm. Which is one hundred percent what he was supposed to do. The media continued to stoke fear. He listened to some recommendations that the CDC made and let them handle it.

The media continued with the fear. The country was panicking when there is no reason for it. So trump had to take drastic steps. Some of these measures are good, some are to show the panicked sheeple that there are steps being done so people calm down.

Trump now is on this. I don't want to build this president up, but he let the CDC control the response totally because they were the experts.

When they proved little help, he has to step in. Say what you will about the president but the man knows how to get shite done. And now trump is pissed that this virus that should be treated with respect has instead panicked the whole country because of the media.

So shite will get done, and it will get done quickly.

At the end of the day don't worry about the reported death rate because it is inflated because of the low rate of diagnosis. We smoke much less than China or Italy and are younger than Italy. You want to talk about a totally fricked response? Look at Italy.

Yesterday when trump declared an emergency, he said China hold my beer. The United States is now on this motherfricker and I suspect better treatment soon and a vaccine within four to six months.

This is a nothingburger spun up to make panic go viral. I 100% had this shite in January and it has been making the rounds for months. The reason test kits are late is to let it get entrenched and then show a "spike" that is not reality..it is a mix of old and new cases of a weak virus that is less deadly by far than the flu. Wake up people.
