quote:

A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the highest virtues of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means.

Thomas Jefferson

Bad-intentioned men have perverted our law based system of governance. Laws no longer protect liberty, but restrict it. Republicans and ideally even moderate Dems, need to see the bigger picture.

Abbott doesn't need to be worried about violating some technicality in some law, when our sovereignty is blatantly being violated every day, which is a direct attack to our liberty.

Neither should any governor willfully going along with resetting illegals or going along with vaccine mandates or any other list of violations of the Constitution.

Abbott says he won't stand for porous borders, but I think he says that about everything, if we're being honest.

You don't have to defeat America with arms.
You have to buy slightly more than the 599 politicians that run the country.

Plus, there's an added bonus of an unelected burocracy that can be had for free via the tax payers oppressing themselves.

Well he shouldn't worry about that one bit as that isn't going to happen at this point!

never gonna happen... hes praying he can hold on to his seat as governor right now...

the Texas governors election will be the biggest election in the country next year...

Democrats nation wide will pour about 500-700 million into getting abbot out.. if the dems flip Texas, its over, the border will be wide open. and I will move.. we already know it here.. parents will sell ranch in east texas. We are already looking at Georgia and Northern Alabama. Uncle just left Louisiana for Arkansas.

Politicians worry about their legacy too much. They just need to do what's right in the moment it needs to be done and let the chips fall where they may.

From FDR as well:
Rules are not necessarily sacred; principles are.

If the enemies flip Texas, every Texan worth his salt ought to head straight for the border and take aim at those attempting to cross.

Allen West said he would shut down the border day one with the Texas National Guard. Sec IV, Article 4 says he can at the point we are at (invasion).

People in North Alabama and Georgia are looking for Texas to defeat these communist totalitarians. Try not to let them down.

Nice find.

Currently watching the John Adams series again. Jefferson is great in it.

im just telling you... Texas is primed to turn blue, massive influx of people from Cali and New York, illegal immigration has been horrible the last decade. Trump slowed it big time. but all of those people are having LEGAL kids here... literally every high school female thats here is pregnant. The do everything they can to get pregnant as fast as possible to have their kid here so they can stay. People do not understand the magnitude of the problem... I would say bare minimum, 300k illegal immigrant babies have been born in texas the last 10 years.
