Executive orders exist for the President to direct executive agencies in carrying out legislation passed by Congress. They do not exist for the President to bypass Congress in creating new legislation.
It's the judicial branch's responsibility to check the executive branch when this happens.
That is as simple and correct a summary of Executive Orders as any sane person could imagine.

As I said earlier, the emotionality has EXPLODED with this one particular issue.
It's a fascinating psychological event going on. I can't wait to figure out why this story, out of all of them, has made so many people lose their fricking minds and melt down like Democrats after Trump's first election victory.
I have so many theories brewing.

A Denver law firm, hired to look into an alleged gang takeover of an Aurora apartment building, says they found the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang began taking over the Whispering Pines Apartments in late 2023. Since then, the gang has engaged in violent assaults, threats of murder, extortion, strongarm tactics, and child prostitution as they have exerted a "stranglehold" on the Aurora apartment complex. That's according to a letter sent to Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman, Aurora City Manager Jason Batchelor, and the interim police chief that was obtained by CBS News Colorado.
