Because the deal involves restarting student loan payments, McCarthy may not get enough democrat votes in the house to get this one through.

The payments are already restarting 60 days from June 30. What's the debt ceiling deal doing in that context, other than moving up the restart by a couple of weeks? The 60 day delay period will still apply.

Deal still sucks

Because it's all theater. They're following a script.

I'm just relaying what the article is saying. It's not my personal belief.

...because you refuse to admit the obvious. The majority of Republicans in the house support the unlimited spending and support empowering the Democrats.

Keep putting your faith in the Republican Party.

Go see who is fighting like hell to stop this bill. It's all America First Republicans and a few honest fiscal hawks.

You shouldn't be fooled by this. This is elementary politics.

If Republicans can't pass this themselves, they will have enough votes from Democrats to get it passed. It will be only as many as they need. Whether McCarthy decides to bail on it in the face of pressure is a different issue.

Democrats LOVE this deal. It took nothing absolutely away from them.

It's been reported Hakeem Jeffries is down as an exuberant YES! That should tell every America First patriot you're getting bent over and you're getting the growing tab for Fundamental Transformation.
