Think of the good ole' days when the Scout leader was just a pedophile and not a muslim and a pedophile.

It happened when they let gays in...if it happened before, it was rare.

Eh, I’d say it was when they covered up decades of sexual molestation of boys in their program.

They have been heavily tied in with the Catholic Church for decades, so that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Robert Baden-Powell (the founder of the Boy Scouts) only marriage was to a woman less than half his age. He was 55, she was 23.

Prior to that, and even after, there was suspicion that he was a closeted homosexual, though never proven.

He did father 3 children with his young wife, so I guess she was able to fix him.

During the period that you were a scout, how many times were you subjected to, or participated in, or witnessed any rituals (initiations, hazing, rites of passage, etc.) that involved males touching the genitals or anus area of other males, clothed or unclothed?

I think back to the hike we took my son and his fellow cub scouts on. It was the Saturday after 9/11. An old scout leader, I had never met showed up and talked to the boys about the freedom we take for granted and how fragile it really is. We all prayed, recited the pledge and had a wonderful hike in the gsmnp. I hope that old scout leader, who looked 80 something never witnessed what is happening in our country today.

The BSA is woke as frick and its nothing but a homosexual grooming operation. Always has been.

Troops meet in our local churches in the Sunday school classrooms, they hold many of their events in the fellowship halls. They say the Pledge of Allegiance, then prayer and always bless the food/refreshments.

You may have a Troop sponsored by a church but the Scouts allow many organizations to sponsor Troops. And they can be any religion. I was in a Pack with a Hindu kid even though a Christian church sponsored the Pack. They require you to believe in God, but don’t specify which one.

I never heard of one instant like that in all my years in scouts. My troop was cool as frick. And the leaders of my troop were great people. It’s extremely ignorant for that to be one of your first thoughts and it’s insulting to the many good people who donate their time to be scout leaders.

The general public has a huge disconnect with how scouts are run.

There is the BSA. The national organization, and they have a role.

And there are federations of charter organizations which run each individual scout troop and scout pack.
Our town had the Mason's Lodge for Boy Scouts and local Baptist Church for cub scouts.

These charter organizations literally make the decisions for the pack and troop regardless of what BSA nationally says.
The charter orgs pick/approve the leadership.
They pick/approve the scout committees.
They have a recharter process annually.

The "scouts are woke" crowd do not know any scouts. They are the same as college football fans who claim to predict plays (when they are only predicting if the end result of the playcall is a run or pass... not the actual play called by the OC).

There are unknown unknowns by the loudest people which makes the world a depressing place, sometimes.
