Or better yet NATO should have stuck to the treaties after the collapse of the former Soviet Union and not admitted former Soviet territories to NATO

They are never going to believe this is the standard operating procedure of Putin if they believe his bullshite about NATO and Ukraine. It's a lost cause.

Do you take into account that Lithuania is a NATO country and Ukraine is not?

Why is it ok for America interest to fight but not okay for Russia’s interests? Average Americans want to live their lives in harmony, the same way with other people from other nations. It’s always the politicians with the blue bloods that want these wars yet mostly have nothing lost in them such as family. Don’t get me wrong as I’d would stand up for country if threatened but I’d do the same to anyone who was an American that threatened us

It's irrelevant. Putin will manufacture feigned outrage, send in nationals to incite ethnic Russians into aggression, and then get hyperbolic about the response framing it as an "attack on ethnic Russians that requires our intervention".

Ukraine joining NATO is just bullshite that people wanted to believe because they don't like the party running the country.

Putin's real fear is Ukraine joining the EU, hence why all of his actual scheming with puppet leaders, etc. centered on the EU.

If the UNITED STATES hadn't over thrown the Ukrainian gov't in 2014 with a color revolution, and installed their own puppet gov't, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR arse. Your gov't is using the same tool, a color revolution, here in the US to divide us and take total control of this gov't.

But they can’t take Ukraine and you think they are just going to start dropping countries around Europe? Where is the logic?

Russia can’t take Ukraine because the USA and Europe are helping Ukraine. Putin is hoping to either completely win in Ukraine or negotiate a peace on Russia terms. If Russia can do that it will take a few years to rebuild and modernize its forces then move on Lithuania and/or Poland. It doesn’t make sense to me or anyone outside of Russia. However, it does make sense to people in Russia. Putin has already started the process of convincing the Russian people that all of the territory that was once part of the Russian Empire should be part of Russia today. So there is logic on the Russian side. Incorrect logic but logic nonetheless.

Are you forgetting whose puppet was in power to cause the maidan revolution to occur?

Russia prefers to blow up their own apartment buildings, or shoot down civilian airliners, and blame whoever they are wanting to fight

Why would Putin fear that? If THAT happened, Ukraine would defeat itself without Putin ever having had to spend a ruble.

I agree 100% but they are part of NATO and if Putin attacked them then we would be forced into war.

We need to get out of NATO.

Because it sets Ukraine on a path to becoming a larger economic force than Russia over time.

Ukraine surpassing Russia is an existential threat to a guy like Putin. T

Uh..a few things happened after Russia's puppet caused a civil war.

First, Russia took Crimea, which did not result in escalation.

Second, the US puppet was ousted in the next elections by a non-Western puppet in Zelensky.

Zelensky was in power when Putin invaded. You'd have a much stronger argument if Poroshenko was President when Putin invaded.

Russia sent 200,000+ troops into another sovereign nation and killed 100,000+ of its soldiers for a money grab?

WTF is wrong with you? It was proven yesterday that we are fighting there to keep Biden from being exposed. That’s it! Nothing more. This support is based on corruption. All funding and public support should stop immediately. By all means, go over and fight. Buy your plane ticket and GTFO and stop spreading your war propaganda to us.

Hasn’t Biden already been exposed?

How did he cause a civil war? Are you seriously saying that the CIA/US had nothing to do with the color revolution in 2014 that put the US back in control over Ukraine?

no doubt in my mind that Putin and/or his successor if United Russia and its cronies stay in power would move against Lithuania and Poland if they had the military capability to do so.

No military on earth has the power to take on Nato. Putin would be beyond stupid to invade a Nato country. That's the entire reason why Eastern European countries like Poland and Lithuania have joined Nato: to ensure Russia wont invade them.
