They concluded the investigation and didn't charge him. Those of us who live in his district know the whole investigation was actually started by Matt and his father because a guy was trying to get money out of them. Then Matt and his father worked with the fbi by wearing wires and catching the guy. His whole story was fabricated for money. He is currently in prison.

Wait, so this guy (who had tried to frame a teacher as a pedophile according to that letter) was trying to frame Matt Gaetz as a pedofile. Gaetz worked with the FBI to catch the scum bag, and then the DOJ took the guy who was busted's story and started investigating Gaetz based on that? Do I have that right?

They unveiled what the investigation was about. It's a shame they won't release what they found now. Why would gaetz have resigned like that otherwise? He can't start his new job yet afterall the only benefit is avoiding the release of the ethics document....
