On one hand, why would the Biden DOJ pass on prosecution AND end the investigation if it was so damaging.
On the other hand, if Gaetz thinks his resignation will prevent the report from leaking AND that a "leaked" report is safer from spin than an official one he is mistaken.
But if you put a subject-to-modification leak and DOJ passing you can come to a logical conclusion that it is a hit job. But the leaked report will be the center of the show.
Assuming DOJ is right and there's nothing to prosecute: This is another mistake by the GOPe. They could have ended it 2 years ago when DOJ passed and McCarthy was Speaker. They didn't, so Gaetz led a personal vendetta against McCarthy, and here we are.
