I don't regularly keep up with UFC so am I allowed to think it's odd that the lightweight title fight is the main event while the heavyweight title fight is not?

The hw fight is for an interim title since the champ is out of commission due to an eye poke

I haven’t checked but I’d guess the lightweight fighters are ranked higher up in their class than the heavyweights are in their class. Could be wrong though.

It’s just weight classes. Heavyweight doesn’t carry anymore prestige than any other weight class. Right now, heavyweight has been very underwhelming. Big guys don’t have a lot of gas in the tank. The smaller guys are quick and scrappy.
If I was Dana, I’d have mostly strikers on this card. A bunch of BJJ masters makes for a long and slow fight.

Super Bowl plays in the rain. This outdoor fight card will likely get washed out unless they can convert it into a dome before 7:00.
