Figures. He disowned the first 4 years of his own presidency, blaming W, but now takes credit for Trump’s work.

Facts, mismanaged the $ 10 Trillion dollar increase in debt with the Fed funds rate at zero for all that time while counting part time jobs as the increase of jobs over this time. One needs to research the type jobs created also.

I’m sure all of his regulations really stimulated the economy

I remember the grownups in 1990something crediting Bush with the strong economy during the Clinton years.

That never happened. Conservatives gave credit to the tech boom. There was no 'Bush did this.'

He and his wing man should prolly stay in seclusion.

quote:I’m sure both are somewhat right. The grownups around me in the 90’s and the people on this site lean similarly right, and I suspect their bias is why the former were eager to credit Bush and why the latter are reluctant to credit Obama.

Yea it has always been credited to the dot com bubble and a post-war economy which has historically been a boom.

So, you remember more of what you heard on radio at age 9 than I read/heard/lived at age 40? Yeah. Sure.

You mean the "shovel-ready jobs" that "weren't so shovel-ready"? Quote at :53 seconds
#SummerOfRecovery, anyone?
While Unemployment did indeed drop from its high in 2009, GDP looked like a fricking EKG.
Noice that stability after 2016? That's what a strong economy looks like when promoted by strong economic policy. The vast variances between quarters we see from 2009 to 2016 is what an economy looks like when it's struggling to succeed despite shitty economic policy.
