This is not an end-of-civilization moment. It will pass.

Stay out of the line of fire... don't say anything publicly to get yourself canceled or doxxed or blacklisted, and it will all blow over.
In 2012, people were saying the Occupy Wall Street movement was going to destroy the markets and the prosperity of the country. It didn't. After a while, people got tired of protesting, a few reforms (not too many) were offered, and everything went back to normal.
1968 was a horrible year for America (I was 2). Rioting, skyrocketing murder rates, John met Yoko. We recovered, although we had to endure the Carter administration before things got better.
This will die down. Police departments will not be abolished. People will go back to doing whatever they were doing. Your 401k will survive.

quote:it'll pass but yet it is a big step toward the end times. Just bc it's not the end of everything doesn't mean it isn't serious. I've said it dozens of times, maybe even over a hundred, we are going to lose our freedoms. all of them. maybe soon, maybe 200 years from now. those people are going to "win".
It will pass.

The left is completely unhinged and ready to destroy anything and everything conservative. Two black liberals at my job are openly flaming away all day, because right now they can, even though company policy strictly prohibits political discussions that could offend others...
We all have to keep our mouths shut and let the fires burn themselves out. It's bullshite, but I depend on the income.

I think the Dems are just in appeasement mode and don't take this shite as seriously as you might think. This is arse kissing for votes in an attempt to remove Trump. The Senate is a damn country club regardless of party. The house not so much but most of them likely don't take this that seriously either other than some of the younger and poc

When the authorities become vandals there's not much hope left.

You can definitely envision how the masses will follow the antichrist all the way to hell

I've been saying this for awhile....this movement in it's current form is totally unsustainable.
1. It's mainly being fueled by white liberals on social media....a group known to get easily distracted and bored. They will move on and the fire will die way down.
2. There is no actual leader...no one to sit down at the table to list demands and hold leader to the heat.
Pretty soon it will fizzle to the few people this actually effects... they will be tired and more ignored and forgotten each day until they are forced to accept minimal change.

I've said before, humans are a competitive, aggressive species.
We need conflict, we need an enemy. If we don't have a real one (at war with someone), we WILL make one of our own.
The most peaceful and prosperous our country has been in my lifetime was during the Cold War. We all feared nuclear annihilation, and most of us got along. It was a multiracial thing (even Prince had a lyric: "Ronnie talk to Russia before it's too late, before they blow up the world").
Once that threat passed, things began shifting.
It's a terrible thought, but we need a war. Not against someone who could truly harm us (ie Russia, China), but someone serious enough to unite us.

The most dangerous parts of a war are the beginning and the end.

I agree except one major difference, Trump is in the white house and these people aren't going to relent in their lawless coup attempts until he is out by hook or by crook.
