That’s all food assistance should be. These people taking advantage of the system should be shamed and called out.

Same here ‘99. Dad picked up the canned ham, block cheese, powdered milk, and some bread. The powdered milk was not very good but the ham and the cheese were solid. We ate a lot of government provided sammiches for a while.

I think we’re addressing different facets of the same argument. Whether it affects the pawns or the queen, we really need to disincentivize living off the state for the long term health of the republic.
