by your argument, i can post pictures of Hitler or STalin.....and guess what, they prolly got their arse whooped many times, still turned out to be murderers. Stop it with the race card. It's well overplayed. But hey, CNN is going 365 with the RACE reporting, so i bet you'll be happy we can live in turmoil now until the commies take over America and useful idiots like you are no longer needed.

Indeed. You can tell Millennials are having kids, because there's a whole series of "however you care for your baby is perfect" commercials from a diaper company.

Let me get this straight, you think disciplining a child is child abuse?
Have some kids and don't discipline them at all. Tell us how that turns out for you.
Unbelievable how weak some of you are.

Oh for fricks sake. Give us a ballpark percentage of the number of Americans who you think took part in lynching black people. Do you even think about some of the ridiculous shite you say, or do you just let it fly, no matter how fricking stupid it is?

Big Fig TX thinks the people in the picture are "mainstream Americans.

My sister never corrected her kids or held them responsible for anything. Her oldest just turned 20 and already has a kid (out of wedlock), works a dead end job at a pizza chain, and has no desire to advance despite all of the programs that would allow her to get educated for free. My nieces and nephews don't like coming to my house because I make them clean up after themselves and do their schoolwork. I only have very young kids but my wife and I hold our kids accountable for everything (grades, cleanliness, etc.) I feel like if I do the opposite of her, my kids will turn out great.

Its proof that humans wont evolve or change unless subject to stress. The avoid stress at all costs generation is the one we see on the streets.

Yep, I remember those days to. We had a social studies teacher in the 7th grade with a paddle that had little holes drilled into it to cut down on wind resistance and he wasn't shy about using it either. Like others have said, we need to go back to a balance of letting kids be kids but using discipline when needed

Yep. You are seeing what happens when you never tell your children "No" and never allow anyone else to tell them no, either.
You can tell your kid "no" and make them work hard without resorting to corporal punishment. Those are two different things.
Maybe if your kid screws up, you go have them do some tough outside chores and sweat a bit instead of just using a belt.

Some may need, some may not. There is no one size fits all way of disciplining.

Can you add NSFW to the title since that cock sucker big scrub prog added vile pictures?

Not with my 3 kids ... almost 28, almost 23 and 19 1/2. First 2 are staunch conservatives, gun owning/toting and very firm in their beliefs. Now #3 is in college and is being exposed to "a lot" and while they were all raised the same, momma can't guarantee the outcome -- I'll just say I'm praying hard for this one (all of them but especially the last one).

I mentioned this before here but it warrants repeating in light of the virus scare. One of the most fascinating audios I've ever heard is from an historian who went out in the 1970s to interview the aging US vets of WWI.
He came away shocked at one totally consistent element. Every single one of them downplayed the terrible conditions.
Q: 'But you got hit with poison gas and went blind for awhile and you lost your left foot from a grenade.'
Vet: 'Oh, it wasn't so bad.'
The author concluded that the reason was due to the culture of that generation. In 1900 a male child was taught that complaining was something women do. A man does not whine.
Those days are long gone.

Have some kids
Let’s not encourage “they” to do that.

My wife will often say that I’m bleeding from a cut while working with my hands around the house. I rarely notice. No one ever followed me around with boo boo band aids. You poured methylate on it and moved on. Damn I learned to hate methylate. shite stings like hell.

OMG, I haven't thought of that sting in 60 years. The other option when I got a cut was 'mecurachrome' (sp). It didn't sting but apparently the sting stuff was necessary to make it heal.
Edit: Hell, that mecurachrome probably had mercury in it! I've been poisoned!

They should have tough outside chores and sweat a bit whether thy screw up or not. Chores are just a part of growing up.
