This is a fair point. Teenagers in today's societies aren't as mature as in the past because a lot less is expected of them.
People grew up much faster when the world was a bit harsher. Childhood lasts a long longer now.

Nope it's not and you know it's not. What I'm saying is that there isn't some switch that goes off at some magic age.
Pretending a 13 year old is the same as a 15 year old is the same thing as a 17 year old is silly.
You don't magically become mature enough to make sexual decisions one day. It's a gradual process that happens over years. In the case of your average 17 year old, that maturation process has mostly happened fully.

Rape isn't solely limited to violence. It can be done through drugs, alcohol or the physiological practice of grooming which induces eventual submission.

We are never going to agree on this. I can remember me and my friends at 17. We were immature morons. And I see my nieces and nephews and cousins at 17 now. They are immature morons. They are not at all fully mentally, socially, and sexually mature. Not even close. And I do not think your average American teenager is fully emotionally and sexual mature. Not even close.
However, just for the record, in this thread you said 17 is fully sexually mature and it is absurd that humans physically mature 6 years earlier than that at 11 and have to wait to act on it which is a twisted and sick thing to say. You said it. Own it.

It is absurd. Because an 11 year old is at 0% maturity and a 17 year old is very close to 100%, if not at 100%.
Expecting a 17 year old to continue to wait because he may "only" be at say 90% maturity, treating him exactly as you would an 11 year old, is ridiculous.

Are you talking about physical sexual maturity? Most humans are fully physically able to have sex around 13-14 years old. And you continue to advocate for pedophilia. This is a weird stance to choose in my opinion. I am confused by it. And by you.

I don’t disagree with your argument ( I mean I do kind of but I see the point), but that chick was sexy as frick during this incident.
