but damn he's right on a lot of topics.
Then why was this his response to a lawsuit?

You Literally Can't Believe The Facts Tucker Carlson Tells You. So Say His Lawyers

Now comes the claim that you can't expect to literally believe the words that come out of Carlson's mouth. And that assertion is not coming from Carlson's critics. It's being made by a federal judge in the Southern District of New York and by his own lawyers in defending Carlson against accusations of slander. It worked, by the way.
Hes a grifter

I don't need a lawsuit settled by Fox to tell me how to think about a person. You seem concerned he might be right about something and have been listening to Levin for too long.

FWIW, Tucker’s dad — Dick Carlson — headed the Voice of America, not the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

I was impressed when he said, I think he said, there are no computers or WiFi in his home.

Not going to RA because I don’t disagree with your premise, but I do think you should take a rest. Nothing in life is worth angrily posting into the void for 10 hours a day.
Hell you live in Nebraska, go find a thicc corn fed woman and have a good ole time

Megyn Kelly went through a time where she lost her way too. She found out real quick and is now firmly entrenched as a staunch conservative voice. It doesn’t take long once you go to the dark side if you are real and intelligent to realize how toxic the left is

Richard Carlson is credited with defending public broadcasting from attacks by members of the Republican party, and has announced Jan. 24 that he will leave the CPB presidency
Not only did he head it, he saved it. And Tucker has said its the least wasteful govt spending. Tucker is not a conservative
quote:
From 1992 to 1997 Richard Carlson was the President and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the congressionally created entity that, in part, allocates federal funds for public television and radio stations, including WNYC. Carlson was tasked with protecting CPB and congressional funding for public broadcasting from threats of being “zeroed out” by conservatives like Congressman Newt Gingrich, who believed public broadcasting outlets were biased against conservatives.

Megyn went once. Carlson has bounced back and forth his entire life
He was a registered Democrat until 2020, when he says he voted for Kanye West

I dont listen to Levin either. Hes a nut, and has been as long as I can remember. And not Shapiro either. Havent liked him since his honeypot tried to torch Trump and get Lewandowski fired

Tucker and many other Americans have changed a lot over the past 25 years, you either acknowledge the systemic corruption in the US government and in most major institutions or you deny or embrace the corruption.
I don’t think corruption is at the center of why people are shifting from the old conservative ideology to a more America First populist one.
Many of us were cold warriors. Back then it was clear, both parties thought the USSR should be opposed. The republicans thought they should be fought in hot wars through proxies, and Reagan famously led a military buildup with the intention of bankrupting them. Back then it was easy, you were a conservative if you thought the US government was spending too much on welfare programs and you wanted to stand up to the USSR.
When the USSR fell many of us thought that American power should be used to lift the third world out of poverty and ensure that democracy was the prevalent form of government in the world. That position became most associated with neocons, but it was a humane impulse. It failed, though; mostly because George Bush overreached in trying to nation build Iraq. It would have failed anyway, because of the core principle that most of us conservatives have - that government sucks at everything.
Faced with the failure of our world policeman role the conservative movement fractured, as those of us who saw that it would not work abandoned that position, while the neocons dug in, many of them leaving the Republican party to continue pushing that role.
That explains the intellectual journey of many of us. I doubt Tucker’s journey is that complicated. His seems to be best explained by a drive for ratings and earnings.

Why would you trust Tucker? Other than to tell you something you want to hear/ entertain you?

You ought to add that Carlson’s dad headed the VoA to the OP. In effect, the VoA simply broadcast [Deep] State Department talking points.

I am mildly shocked at how “the board” has reacted to this thread and some of the anti Tucker opinions here.
Evolving? Maturing?
It’s nice to see.

This is the one that I am most shocked that the "conservatives" on here just ignored
Tucker Carlson has been an inside source for these guys. Who are virulently anti-conservative. Stetler? I mean really, Tucker?
