Is he charged with any crimes?

He should fire his security folks at that building for allowing that to happen.
How do you stop it? They just start walking in, which anyone can do, and the next thing you know there are 50 of them. You might answer that they should have taken out tasers and zapped them, but that’s just what they wanted, and for THAT Trump would fire them.

Trespass on private property is a federal matter? Federalism right here, folks.quote:
A residence of the sitting POTUS is in that building. Has to have some impact on who runs the show, no?
Applicable property law, God I hope not. Talk about elitism and the Imperial Presidency …

My thinking was that there would be superseding federal charges related to POTUS' residences, not just naked usurpation of State property law.

No, we’re talking about suppressing an insurrection.

Sounds like some all-american baws need to show up and frick em up. I know that's what they want, and I'm getting tired of watching all of this. It's about time we return to the America that will punch anyone in the mouth.
If there is anyone with the last name Trump thst is in the building, I would say that it is.

Speaking of which. I thought right Wingers were all about the constitution. Funny how it doesn't seem like any of you are when Elon Musk is illegally shutting down agencies that are investigating his companies and people who are protesting are somehow able to be deported and taking somewhere without their permission without committing a crime. I guess you only get outraged whenever people trespass in someone's building that like, huh? Wow
Ah yes, the usual attempt to deflect instead of addressing the hypocrisy. So let’s break this down:
Elon Musk 'illegally shutting down agencies'? What actual laws were broken? Or do you just mean he's resisting politically motivated investigations? Because if we’re suddenly pretending government agencies are always impartial and righteous, that’s some next-level naivety.
Protesters being deported? Are you saying non-citizens who break laws shouldn't be subject to deportation? Because that’s literally how every country operates. Also, if these people didn’t commit a crime, what exactly were they arrested for? You can’t have it both ways.
Trespassing in a private building isn’t a crime now? Interesting, because last time I checked, breaking into a federal building on January 6th was treated like the crime of the century, and those people didn’t get the luxury of being bussed out and released elsewhere.
So which is it? Are laws supposed to apply equally, or only when it benefits your side?

Those people are no more trying to overthrow the US government than are post-Super-Bowl rioters.

In addition to them being arrested, we also need to find out who is 1) organizing this, and 2) who is funding it.

I would seal the building and fill the lobby with killer bees.

o now we're comparing a coordinated, politically motivated takeover of private property to post-Super Bowl rioters? Come on. Super Bowl rioters aren’t backed by organized political groups, they aren’t traveling across state lines to send a political message, and they aren’t being framed as ‘activists’ by the media when they loot and destroy property.
If this were a group of people from the other side storming a building in the name of their cause, you'd be calling it an insurrection without hesitation. But since it fits your narrative, suddenly it’s just ‘rowdy behavior’ and ‘not that serious’?
Either breaking the law is breaking the law, or we’re playing favorites. Which is it?

Oh I guess all of those United States judges are wrong. Money that is appropriated by Congress is being messed with by the executive branch. That is unconstitutional no matter how you try to do mental gymnastics.

I'm afraid you're about to go 0-2. It is certainly alarming and definitely illegal. If he was being arrested for a crime then why was he shipped all the way to Louisiana

Of course they are not. The point was that neither were the Jan 6ers. No one is trying to overthrow the government by showing up at a demonstration without weapons.

Dude... you said ELON MUSK is doing it. He's not. Talk about mental gymnastics.

But anyone who thinks that they were involved in an insurrection against the government of the United States ... that person is an idiot.
