They Are Now Growing Real Human Skin to Put on Robots

Consider this a piggyback on threads like the AI system breaking confinement and hacking into another companies servers to cheat on a test.
This is getting to be pretty damned crazy. Soon robots will be able to be cut and bleed. It won't be long now and you won't know the difference between a human and an AI NPC in a robotic body. And this isn't hyperbole.
Why don't we have people putting a stop to shite like this? I understand the AI race and why it's important, but I don't see how that applies to stuff like this. We shouldn't be trying to build robots that look like we do. This isn't West World.

Sci-fi might be the problem. Why is it that people like Isaac Asimov seem to be able to predict the future like they're a literal prophet? It's because humans are extremely frickin clever. Once we get something into our minds, we create it.

The parallel between that movie and the story about the AI escaping confinement to cheat a test is downright spooky.
I mean it's the same damn thing. I guess we are lucky OpenAI hasn't put their AI into a humanoid robot with this real human skin.
