These kids are being irrational with their statements. Heard a boy on the radio, this morning, blast Republicans and the NRA and declared that we are either with them or against them.

Here's a funny...now granted my childhood spanned the 70s-late 80s...so take that into consideration (my parents still used the belt when I was growing up).

How many guys used to take their shotguns/rifles to school with them because they were either hunting before school or after...or just left it in on Monday after hunting on the weekend. How many school shootings did we have back then? None that I recall. Maybe it's a product of how these kids were raised? Do they not understand human life?

I don't have a problem with them sounding off on how they feel, although their message is way too emotional right now.

These kids have zero, and I mean zero, understanding of how government works. First, they are ignorant of recent Supreme Court precedent on the issue of the 2nd Amendment. Second, they have zero understanding that the Constitution would have to be amended in order to change the 2nd Amendment. Third, they have no understanding that, even if Trump wanted gun control, 2/3 of each chamber of Congress would be required to pass said amendment. It shows how idiotic this generation of social media obsessed brats are with respect to their own government.

This.

And these are probably the same kind of kids who are wondering why "when Hillary won" that Trump got elected...because they don't understand the Election process.

and naturally, ONCE AGAIN, people here think violence is the only answer for anyone who disagrees with them

It's not violence. It's discipline. A characteristic you apparently know nothing about.

Not everyone goes through the stupid kid phase. That's why some of us don't have patience with it when we see it.

Every one of these idiots need a good solid arse whipping from a belt. Such an ignorant generation.

I don't blame them, no telling how many groups have swooped in to politicize this. No telling what sort of bullshite these kids have been told.

Make no mistake, these teens might be the face of this student protest coming up, but they certainly aren't the brains. They're just being used.

To be fair Republicans aren't helping matters here. They are spitting the same with us or against us attitude as the Dems. Let's be real for a second. Kids got killed at school. This isn't the first nor the last time it will happen. Something has to change and this needs to be addressed somehow.

One side is saying lets take the guns - (wrong answer)
Other side is saying Leave it all the same because shite is going to happen anyway (also wrong answer)

Until we can have civil conversation in this country without everyone seeing differing opinions as the Enemy we are never going to get better.

It's lazy discipline. Are you seriously that limited in imagination where you can't think of any other way to discipline a child beside physical pain. I understand sometimes it necessary and I'm not against it. I have problem with it being the first and most often used source of discipline. You aren't teaching them lessons you are teaching them to fear people of authority.

They're kids - I give them a pass on many things. But I damn sure don't listen to them on many things either.

That’s what HS is all about , being a dumb arse. The issue here is the Progressive media elevating the emotional musings of children to the Constitutional level. Another example of the Infantilization of The American Mind. A great big country for eternal 14 year olds .

It's the adults job not to listen to them.

That is pure speculation and you couldn't be more wrong. Truthfully I'm still dumb as shite

Has anyone heard any of these HS students protest the FBI or publicly ask the FBI why they didn't do more to protect them from Cruz when he told everyone what he wanted to do?

That was not included in their talking points packet.
