Cystic fibrosis is hereditary, I guess they should just choose to quit having trouble breathing.

See how that works?

Gender is hard coded.

Sexuality runs a broad spectrum just like personality, humor, intelligence, etc.

No they do not. The idea of a “gay gene” is an idea purported by people who deny that homosexuality is naturally occurring.

The study shows what should be obvious to all: homosexuality occurs naturally, usually as a result of a combination of genetics and environment.

Hateful people like yourself would abort their own healthy child because of their own personal and bigoted views.

Are you unalterably opposed to all abortion or only in cases where the hateful dispose of their child because it is not homosexually predisposed? I ask because you identify a problem inherent in advances in pre-natal medicine. In full disclosure, I am unalterably opposed.

It’s becoming harder and harder for bigots to defend their views without pointing to the magic sky fairy’s 2000 year old book. Hence why anti-gay views have become a vast minority in this country.

Respectfully, you've gotten this all a little confused. The book and God which you blithely mock both take as dim a view of heterosexual sins like fornication and adultery (and lying, coveting, lack of love for God and your fellow man, etc.) as they do of homosexual ones.

Tendencies, proclivities, temptations, whatever, are never judged, condemned, punished or considered "sinful". But, when acted upon, the resultant sin is judged and condemned. The tendencies, proclivities, temptations and so forth foundational to proscribed actions are not exculpatory or mitigating.

You're not alone in your confusion in my opinion. A fair number of Christians will cut themselves a good deal of slack justifying unjustifiable actions yet condemning homosexual sins towards which they've never been tempted.

Can you choose who you are physically attracted to? Yes or no?

It’s a really simple question Rocky.

It’s a pretty big “no shite” premise. Anybody who denies it is a giant wacko.

Why is it so hard for you to answer a simple yes or no question?

I believe that being attracted to the same sex is not a choice, but acting on it is.

What is the point you think you are trying to make with me?

What is the difference between having a sexual relationship with a person in a long-term, stable, and loving homosexual relationship vis a vis a heterosexual relationship (this includes marriage)?

I believe you’re attracted to the same sex and that scares you Bc you think it’s immoral and wrong, so rather than act upon your urges and admitting that you’re gay, you try to chastise and demean gays and make them feel bad out of jealousy. Why are you jealous of the gays?

Poor analogy as alcoholism is only relevant after one is addicted. At that point the question is not whether or not one is an alcoholic, but rather can one avoid taking a drink.

So a person who is attracted solely to others of the same sex is not a homosexual as long as they don’t act on it?

Not really, it has hereditary components.

Just as same sex attraction does.
