Your assumption that there are “perfectly moral blameless” people at all is the problem here. There are none, according to God’s standard of perfect righteousness. All people are guilty and all people deserve to be damned. That’s why salvation is by Christ through faith and not of doing good works, because there is no amount of good works that we could try to do that can remove our guilt.

True repentance of sin (this is a deep sorrow for sin, not just an “oopsie”) through faith in Jesus’ atoning work on the cross, however, will produce forgiveness. Instead of that being a bad thing, it gives hope to those who otherwise would see themselves as irredeemable though they are truly repentant of sin and desire to honor and serve God through obedience from a changed heart.
