How many Pastors or Priests are delivering this message?

The Priest who died yesterday was for sure delivering those messages.

why doesn't it surprise you more that an Islamic grifter is hitting on many of the foundations that once made this country great?

Why wasn't this a popular message 2001-2018?

Stripping people of their humanity, freedom, and individuality for submission to authoritarianism is not exactly what I would call an American ideal. It's the worst part of our old selves. The stuff we had to work to shed to become the world's greatest power since Rome.

I guess my church is not modern. Men are taught to be protectors of women, children, and the elderly. After the Dobbs decision, there were threats against churches in my area. I am thankful for the men who armed themselves and made sure that we were safe at every worship service.

Why the selective quoting?

I gave a specific population:

for the population on this board that had "Islamic men" as their #1 out group/bad guy for 15+ years,

Same here. You know, recently I received some clarity on what an actual “tare” is from the famous parable of the tares and the wheat Christ spoke of in how to distinguish the real deal Christian from the false Christians and it was eye opening to me. I’d never really thought about it in detail before really.

A tare looks just like a wheat except for one very distinguishing characteristic. The tare (weed) stands straight upright, while the fully mature wheat is bowed down, and that’s really the only way to tell them apart from one another as they grow together in the same field. Both appear to be wheat at first glance, but only one is, and the other is the pretender. In keeping with the parable, one refuses to bow and is upright in it’s appearance but proud in it’s standing while the other bows to God and His authority. Tares are poisonous, while wheat is obviously not, but rather feeds the world.

Okay, not all. Just most, including the highest echelons of church leadership.

There does seem to be a pattern of a … certain demographic … falling in love with narcissistic, blowhard misogynists.

You don’t get to gloss over the kind of past this a-hole has in order to focus on his words. Words don’t matter when you’re carrying his history.

The ONLY reason he is saying this now is because he got arrested and is being prosecuted. Had that not happened he would still be carrying on the same behaviors. That is a hypocrite.

I am seeing alot of replies completely missing the point of the OP.

I honestly wasn't even trying to make any commentary on Tate or his legal issues. My commentary was directed at the weakness and watered down message coming from the modern Church. (And yes, of course there are exceptions and outliers, I am speaking for the majority).

Lots of people coming in here giving their opinions on Tate or some scandals within certain churches. My main point was young men aren't getting the message delivered to them in church, so they are seeking it elsewhere in the secular world.

While i might agree here, you are no better.

You voted for Joe Biden and are probably vaccinated. You ate up lie after lie they told you.

I think you’re the one missing the point completely, even in your own thread. You compared a weakness in the church’s messaging and provided Andrew fricking Tate as the model for what the church should be preaching. You chose a guy arrested for trafficking and deep misogyny as the example of the message the church should adopt to bring young men back in. That is fricking stupid.

As the father of daughters, I find the message this prick puts out there as terrifying. God help a young man that follows this dickbags message and ever thinks he would treat one of my daughters like that.

You want to make this point, pick a better vehicle for clamoring and contrasting. Don’t call posters here out for you making a stupid comparison.

Andrew Tate talks about his faith and God but everything about his message is "Chase worldly things to become happy and successful."

Andrew Tate is a used car salesman for beta males that desperately want to be alpha's.

It doesn't matter what I get to do or not.

The fact of the matter, is he is saying some things to young men they need to hear and they are listening, whether you like it or not.

Would I prefer this come from the church or a father or a coach, etc.? Sure, that would be great, but since young men aren't getting that message in those places they are gravitating towards guys like Tate.

I am amazed how many people have struggled to understand my point here. I was never defending or criticizing Tate one way or the other. My critique was towards American Christianity which has failed thisncountry for at least a few generations.
