Another thing that happened before Trump. The war on terror. Conservatives gave up their rights for safety.
Now they are the terrorist wanting transparency from their child’s school.

As did neoconservativism!
Oh, I agree.
Matter of fact, neocons and RINO Republicans failed to preserve conservatism to the degree that it was pretty much dead before Trump. Trump never could have happened had conservatism survived and stayed viable.
But Trumpism is a solid notch or two worse, if for no other reason than that he attracts cult members rather than political supporters.

Newty and Levin have different goals than the working class Americans.

Or you could have voted the Republican over the democrat.
Are you trying to say that Trump supporters didn’t want Walker?

Former Trotskyites to me more precise. But yes, the point here is the entrenched leadership of the GOP is a wholly owned faction of the neocon wing of the Deep State.

There's not one good man in Washington DC. No one is willing to step up and confront the political elite entrenched bureaucracy and their NWO masters. No one is willing to risk their family, wealth or life.
Except Trump. That's why he'll get my vote.
Good grief some of y'all are so dumb I can't imagine how you remember to pull up your pants after you take a dump.
Matt Gaetz didn't just risk his career to confront the Republican political elite?
And none of them do anything out of the goodness of their hearts. They're politicians for crying out loud. Not Gaetz and certainly not Trump.
You're deifying a guy who's ego is so fragile that he cannot admit he lost an election. He's risking everything for his ego. That, and the fact that he doesn't have much choice, actually, the way they are going after him. He either wins the presidency or has to flee the country to avoid prison.
You Trumpanzees really are cult members.
And btw, i don't say that b/c you're voting for Trump. If he wins the nomination and stays out of prison, I will too.
But I'll do so to avoid another Biden presidency, not because I think Trump is brave or noble for running. He's obviously egomaniacally driven to run. That's not a virtue.

It is not. You may like it better than actual conservatism, but that does not morph Trump Populism into actual conservatism. Trumpism infected actual conservatism, corrupted many of its adherents and tried to steal its name.
Define conservatism or what you believe a conservative is.
And here's ^^^ the root problem.
When you ask these "conservatives" to define conservatism or what a conservative is they are flummoxed.

If you are a “real conservative”, these bloated, packaged bills that are just sent through time and time again are completely unacceptable.
The DEMs control the Senate and Presidency.
They'll accept the method of spending (set budget and appropriations bills) you prefer, but the spending will be a lot more. Is that what you want?
If not, tell me how you get your preferred method passed with a Democrat Senate and President without that Democrat spending.

Runaway spending
This is the biggest load of horseshite, of all the horseshite, that the DeSandanistas push.
Rob! gleefully took $27 billion from the feds in Covid funding. Then bragged how he didnt follow the fed regs an covid. Floridas own Senator Scott called out Rob!, and told him to return the covid funds. Rob! outright refused
Yet at the end of this past fiscal year, he only had a $22 billion dollar surplus. He spent $5 BILLION of fed funds, and then they have the gall to claim hes more conservative
quote:
Gov. DeSantis rejects Sen. Rick Scott proposal to return stimulus funds to federal government
quote:
Gov. Ron DeSantis signs largest budget in state history
quote:
DeSantis signs $100B Florida budget bolstered by nearly $9 billion in federal pandemic cash
quote:
Florida mulling how to spend $10 billion additional federal COVID relief
Thats why Ron! has crashed and burned. Its been all a shell game. He did exactly what they claim Trump is at fault for; massive spending, took the vaccine, locked down, supports red flag, bump stock, and hate speech laws, pretends to be America first while supporting McCarthy, Ryan, Romney, McCain, McConnell, Ukraine and Israel

Weird.
So Hillary Clinton was just on MSNBC saying the election will be hacked.
She still says she didn’t lose the election.
So the other option was someone with a fragile ego.
This attack on trump is because they all have a fragile ego.
Remember, it’s their country. Their democracy.

Hillary Clinton is an evil piece of shite. Is your point really comparing Trump to her and thinking that makes him look good?

quote:"Conservatism" is a broad category that has become essentially meaningless without additional adjectives. The two largest camps laying claim to the title are social conservatives and limited government (often called "fiscal") conservatives. The two categories are largely self-explanatory.
Define conservatism or what you believe a conservative is
Trumpism is neither of them.

Did you vote Trump in 2016?
My point is they all have fragile egos. The left completely melted down when he won and burned shite like they do.
And that was a response to the other poster saying trumps a baby because he won’t bow down to Biden. It’s a fricking joke take.

Nope. Neither is Trump.
Some cultists admit that but most still claim he, and they, are conservative when they are anything but.

Yes, that is the main point here. These blue-blood “conservatives” can blame Trump and his followers all they like yet it was the disastrous policies of the permanent reigning GOP elite that created an opening for Trump in the first place.

Well, that is a matter of personal opinion. In any event, some form of populist pushback is the very best outcome we can expect in this wholly corrupted political environment.
It will come from the Bernie Bro/AOC left or the Trump/Gaetz right. Choose wisely because it is what it is.
