I get that he's trolling, but if Obama posted a picture of himself as the pope there would've been an insurrection. I'm really starting to think that "owning half the country" isn't the best long term platform for any party.

While I don’t know about Trump’s eternal status based on his “fruits”, the Pope (as an office that assumes the titles and roles of Christ) is the antichrist, so I wouldn’t want him to take that on.

Dude, you're clutching your pearls so hard on this that they might shatter. Trump likes to joke around and can be immature, but he has also had 80+ year-old politicians like former President Biden and Nancy Pelosi compare hit to Hitler along with many younger Democratic "leaders" and mainstream media. I think that is slightly worse.
He also came within an inch of having his brains blown out in part due to this made-up political and media narrative that he is a Hitler-type. Yet the political and media attacks still continued. Give it a rest.
