They had their sanctions lifted, are making more off their oil than before the war, and wrought economic havoc on our allies in the ME. But I guess the strait is potentially back open (like it was before this stupid excursion) so you can frame it however you want.

There are plenty of fringe people on the right claiming this was caused by engineered weather and was an act of war. It would be intellectually dishonest to conflate that with “the Right’s stance on the flooding”, tho. I’m just tired of political influencers cherry-picking rage bait from either side and further dividing Americans, especially in times when we should be banding together.

Anyways, my nephew was at a camp in Kerr County but came home Thursday night, thank God. Anyone (in either party) who thinks they're helping anyone right now by demonizing half the country should learn when to shut the frick up and allow for a purer discourse focused on response. Everyone's angry and heartbroken in the wake of tragedy and we all want to point fingers. I don't see how cannibalizing ourselves helps literally anything.
